Well I finaly got my Grom HON1U2 installed in my 05. I bought this back in the winter when no one yet had tryed these units here and since that time I believe I had read that there was a upgrade down load that will alow your Grom head unit to text the song titles. I installed it as it was. I wanted a "in dash" install and there is only one place to sink the unit into the dash and here it is. Im very happy with the play back from my testing today. The volume control works perfectly unlike the other complaints Iv read about other I pod hook ups. We just wanted the USB set up more than any thing else. This audio is first rate for a factory set up and like mentioned above, custom speakers would put this audio over the top for the average owner. The install was a hit and miss thing to a degree but first I made the hole in the top panel then the hole in the second panel under neath. The unit mounting tabs were "horse shoe" cuts out of the sides of the grom cover, bent out to sit 90 Degrees on the panel plastic with 2 self taping screws as shown altho the left tab is out and rebent foward along the side of the vent opening. Despite the pasenger positioning, its still an easy reach to plug something in while driveing. Now the long hours culling the CDs for only the best songs loaded in colored Tdrive sticks.

Can you please post pix of the unit in action and what the NAV screen displays for the song titles etc?

Did you have XM install on your Odyssey? If you did, did you disable it? I installed the same unit on my 05 Touring and I can't get the mode switch to work and when I'm playing music via the USB I can still hear the XM in the background. I'm trying to disconnect the XM radio but I don't know where it is.
