Hi Rob, since American's Honda fog light kit doesn't work on Canadian Odys and the cheapest I can find a Canadian kit is around $509 US (not including installion), it's not worthwhile enough for me to spend that much for two extra lights.

So here's the question. I saw your fog lights on your picture album, and what brand are those on your Ody? Did you put them on yourself or did you get somebody to fit them in those two little holes in the Ody's bumper. Lastly as there are no pictures of the passenger side hole, what did you do with the black plastic backing (you know how the passenger side hole is not really a hole? Instead there's the black plug). I still want that horizontal bar there (like the driver side) so it looks OEM. Anyway thanks for any information you can provide.

DDakRT,
The brand of the lamps is "Hiper" and the model is 7000X Plasma Blue which I purchased at Autotoys. I'm sure you can find these anywhere as they are inexpensive($46.50).
Great lights, much brighter than my headlamps.
I did the intstallation myself.Wasn't too difficult, if you like tinkering. There's a nice little blank grommet through the firewall where the wiring harness fit perfectly.I'd say the hardest parts was cutting the black grill. I actually just cut the blank pannel on the passenger side. as for the slats, it took me a few tries to cut it so it would fit perfectly with the lights.
The lights are mounted to the bumper.Pretty stable, haven't noticed any vibration. You could always fabricate a bracket and attatch it to the van's frame for more stability.
Hope this helps.

The Hipers are driving lights.
If I had your choices,I'd go with the PIAA's .I use to have a pair on my Civic. Great performance, lasted forever. The only reason I got the Hipers is because I couldn't afford the PIAA's that were out there.$100 for PIAA lamps is a great price. Go for it.
Have you also looked at the CATZ brand ? They have some good lights too.

BTW did you use the relay that was supplied with your Hipers so that you could only turn them on only with the high beam? The Solitaires are driving lights also but I intent to aim them down and use them with the low beam. Do you know if I have to get a new relay or can I just rewire them?</font>
Actually, I wired them the same way I had them on my other cars, direct. Thisway I can turn them on when I please although running the risk of leaving and forgetting them on.
The reason why I did this is because I like to run with them in situation that don't really call for headlamps, like added safety. Specially when we make our "yearly" Disneyland trip to L.A., there's a section here up north where they require headlamps for about 5 miles so I'd rather use the driving lights.
To each his own. I'd suggest to wire it the basic way so you won't accidentally drain your battery.
