This is the second time my A/C condenser was damaged from road debris and I have no A/C. Has anyone attempted to replace this on their own? I have done a lot of work on cars but not this yet. I just have to see what all I have to do to get to it.

I know it has to be recharged. If I replace it, then I can save some money and have a place just recharge it after as long as it isn't leaking anywhere else.

Sorry to sound cheap but I'm tight on money and very hot!! :)

1. Just swap the new AC condenser in, watching the proper torques, O-rings, washer etc.

- You will be surprised that if you come to Honda dealer and ask to speak to a tech, you should get some advices from the pro in terms of what to do.

2. Then ask a shop to apply vacuum for 30 minutes. Then charge with R134a. Total should not be more than $100 for this service.

3. Last but not least, install a Gutter Guard. Without protection, you will have another condenser problem!
