I would like to add heated mirrors to my Odyssey.

As you know, heated mirrors are standard equipment on Canadian model Odysseys.

Because of this, I would assume that all of the wiring harnesses and such are in place on the U.S. model for such an option.

So, you'd basically need to purchase the heated mirrors and the dashboard switch.

Anyone know of the parts required to do this job?

I don't know for sure about the mirrors, but the Canadian Odysseys and the US ones have some different wiring to them. Early on I sold a set of foglights to a place in Washington that imported Odysseys from Canada and when they went to install them they didn't match up to the harnesses in the vehicle like they do on the US ones.

This is one of my pet peeves. Why didn't American Honda Motors put heated mirrors on the U.S. Odysseys. It sure wasn't cost since the Canadian Ody are actually lower MSRP. And I would assume it would have been cheaper and simpler to have one fewer model going through the assembly line.

Hey hgani,

I never noticed your replies to the related thread until now.

Even the General Service Manual shows the harness differences. (I did order the electrical manual anyway though.)

If I do swap the mirrors I probably won't bother with replacing the harness(es). I'll just run separate leads for the heaters.

I for one would definitely have preferred to have Daytime Running Lights, bigger washer fluid resorvoir with low level warning lights, along with the heated side view mirrors in my Odyssey.

I sent an e-mail to daltshonda.com and here's the reply I received:

The heated mirrors are $317.78 each, the switch is $96.22 and the harness is
$278.45. We do not know if it would be able to be adapted to your Van.

Quite pricey, if you ask me! I think I'll use an ice scraper!

That is the whole package in Canadian Dollars, not what you want. All you need to order is the mirror sub-assembly, US version only cost $10 each, Canadian version should not cost more than $20-40 because the only different would be the defroster wire behind the mirror.

See my suggestion on how to hook them up in the other thread, you only need some wires, connectors and a relay.

Lorax - which thread are you referring to?

The one that you mention above: http://www.honda-odyssey.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000024.html.

Is $96.22 for the switch a good price; it sounds too high. I would definitely want to replace the switch if I do it.

For those who wants to add heated mirrors to their Odyssey, here is the part # for the Canadian model and prices in CANADIAN dollars:
-Mirror Subassembly - 76203-S0X-C01, 76253-S0X-C01 ($62.17 can. each)
-Mirror Switch - 35190-S84-G01ZA ($96.22 can.)

My info came from hondacity in Vancouver, unfortunately, they don't ship to US. I don't have part numbers for the harnesses because I didn't have my ETM when I request for the prices (several harnesses would have to be replaced). This confirms the prices that Blue-Crab received from daltshonda.

If anyone is going to do it, please keep us informed.
