Hello,

I just recently bought a 2003 Ody to replace my 96 Tahoe with 207,000 plus miles on it. I play in a band on weekends and need a vehicle that can transport my equipment and give me reliability and somewhat decent gas mileage.
When I bought the van it had a blinking D transmission light thing going on. The dealer said that the issue was not resetting the computer after servicing the tranny. They said they cleared the code and all was good so I drove off. Not too far down the road it started blinking again. Long story short I found this forum searching for answers to the blinking D light and have been reading gobbs of info since.
BTW the problem turned out to be one of the switches on the transmission not plugged in. When reaching around down there I did feel a connector hanging but assumed it was a harness for an un-installed option. The old girl is running just fine!

0dyfamily, that drive train on the Tahoe was pretty solid. Everything else was starting to fall apart around it.

Thanks for the tip on the air lift. I had the van loaded up with everything I would normally take to a gig this past weekend and didn't notice too much sag. It actually handled pretty good.

I do think I will install a transmission cooler sometime in the next couple of weeks and change the ATF. I am also thinking about installing a hitch to pull our 2000lbs popup. First I will put one on the wifes Isuzu Trooper and see how it does. I don't want to put the Ody transmission through too much if I don't need to.
