I just recently bought a 2003 Ody to replace my 96 Tahoe with 207,000 plus miles on it.

As we see once again, it's hard to beat a basic SBC V-8 for reliability.

When I bought the van it had a blinking D transmission light thing going on. The dealer said that the issue was not resetting the computer after servicing the tranny.

The blinking D, combined with other symptoms, is usually the sign of death...that dealer sounded unknowledgable or less-than-honest. Glad it was just a disconnected plug...*PHEW*.

I like our 02 and 03 EX's. Glad you found the answer, and that she's running on an even keel. If you're a DIY guy, some of us change the ATF when we change the oil (almost as easy as an oil change). The A/T is the weak link in these cars.

I am also thinking about installing a hitch to pull our 2000lbs popup. First I will put one on the wifes Isuzu Trooper and see how it does.

Sounds like a good match.
