hi there, I currently have a '99 odyssey ex and was thinking of upgrading the factory speakers. I have a pioneer deh 4800mp mp3 deck. I initially had bought a Sony GT1325A (5 1/4") for the front and a Kenwood KFC-1061S (4") for the rear. this was based on crutchfields recommendations on what would fit. However, after checking out the forum posts here, I noticed a bunch of people were putting 6 1/2" in the front and forgetting about the rear because there was no point? if thats the case, I was thinking of getting the alpine sps-17C2. Will this fit properly? Does anyone have any other suggestions. Looking for something with a bit of bass but dont want to get a subwoofer. Also, should I get an amplifier or is it just not worth it? I was thinking of getting the blaupunkt PCA2120 amp. Thanks for the help guys.

In the 99-01 vans, the rears are 4". Some here have just moved the 6.5 stock speakers to the back when they have 02-04 vans. there's a lot of seat and such in the path of the rears. Because you have upgraded the head unit, you may get a bit more out of better speakers than those of us who just do speakers. In any case, speakers are really subjective. You almost have to somewhere and listen.
