high pressure fuel pump replaced now CEL comes on

shouldnt the high pressure fuel pump and the related fuel joint pipe set be covered under the same powertrain warranty?
I would think that any parts required to install a warrantied item (the fuel pump in this case) would also be covered by the warranty.

Strange, a quick check of the parts catalog doesn't show any fittings costing more than a few bucks, unless they replaced the complete fuel line?

Sounds to me like the dealer is double-dipping by charging you $500. The best time to push back on excess charges would have been before paying it. That ship has sailed, but I would certainly raise it with them.

Add: Yes, the EVAP code is most likely from the new fuel pump not sealing with the tank.
