Honda Navigation DVD 2012 - Where Does It Go?

It uses the same DVD drive for the Rear Entertainment System and copies the data to an internal hard drive. AFAIK the actual DVD is not included with the vehicle.

No map update DVD goes into the CD player slot. Not every vehicle with NAV has the DVD (RES) player but every vehicle has the CD player.

The CD player is not just for playing music discs, but can also read DVDs and data discs.

The Nav site should have said your 2011 ody elite is upto date. You do not need to purchase the update at this time.
