FWIW, it looks like Ody sales for September are down 12.6% compared to the same month last year.

Ford Windstar is down 11.3%

Other sales figures weren't available yet.

Since they are still selleing all they are making (Plus wait lists) I can only assume 2 things:
1) Sale of remaining 2001 dropped with leak of 2002 features.

2) Fewer Vans were available as the factory had to do some minor retooling for the numerous changes to 2002.

The fact that Windstar sales are down just proves people are starting to understand "Total Cost of Ownership"

I don't know how to interpret the figures with any real meaning, hence the "FWIW."

I expect that the annual figures are much more important than any one month's sales.

Too, there was one less selling day in the month of September (24 instead of 25), so that alone might account for 4% of the difference.

I had anticipated that the figures would be much lower and am pleased that they came in as high as they did. Major purchases in all categories were delayed by a couple of weeks in September, at least in my neck of the woods.
