The hood safety latch is broken and it won't release the hood (it's the second latch after the hood is popped open). Does anyone know of a photo of the latch so I know where to pry something in there to release it?

Nope, it did not help, that is a different problem. This must be a common problem. Mine got progressively harder and harder to relase unti now it won't release at all. I had been applying sideways pressure which worked for quite a while. Now it feels like something must be loose. Internet searches all focus on the promary cable release - it is just about impossible to find anything on the safety release. I'll keep trying though - maybe if I look at enough Youtube videos the answer will pop out at me.

OK, I found the problem by opening the hood of my 2013 Civic and observing that the safety latch lever is very long and too flexible. So I was able to pop the hood of the Odyssey just by sliding my hand a few inches past the end of the lever toward the latch mechanism so that when I pushed up, there was less flex and I was supporting the lever from beneath so with less flexing it popped right open. The Fonzie touch comes through again!
