Does anyone know how do you remove the heated seat switch? My driver side switch light is out and I want to take it apart and look at it. Do you just pry it out or do you have to take apart the whole console on the bottom? Thanks.

Not sure exactly, but will tell you removing the lower console is less than 10 minute job. See post by yours truly here http://www.odyclub.com/forums/showt...=15&highlight=adding+auto+lights&pagenumber=2 Refer to 3a and 3b.

3a) Removed the trim plates on each side of the center console, by pulling the retainer pins and then stored the trim pieces and retainer pins.

3b) Removed the lower center console trim by removing the screws at the lower front and the two screws behind the cup holder and then removed the trim, disconnected the heated seat, aux power outlet, and aux audio harness connectors. Sat this aside.
3a may not be required, been too long for me to remember.

Once you get it in your hand, should be obvious how to remove the switch.

This link implies the bulb is replaceable, as well as giving P/N for bulb and switch. Bulb appears to be about $3, Switch about $10...check the dealer, ask them to match the price.

The above post will tell you how to remove the panel and once you have that removed, the switches are held into the panel by 2 Phillips screws.
The bulbs are screw in Honda dash lights.

Does anyone know if the bulbs in the switch are the gray base 80ma #8640 or the blue base 40ma #7219 Haven't taken apart yet but want to make sure I have parts in hand first. I haven't heard of the "screw in" dash light bulbs. The link above is not working, probably since it's 11 years old.

Good Q. This reminds me to get back to my switches too but on the climate panel. I remember getting those little pigtail bulbs to replace that part only and not the whole bulb. That was for dash and other switches. Tried the led ones but didnt work as well in the switches. Have to take out switches and put the pigtails. I think it was like a 1.50 for 12 or something like that.

Thanks for that p/n, so these are the 80ma which would be the #8640 "pigtail" bulbs that can be installed in the "screw-in" or quarter turn bases. I got the CEC industries brand awhile back to do the climate control button backlighting.
