It took us 2 days.
The van was sitting in the lot beside the main entrance.

Oh, I meant how long did it take to get your van since you ordered it.
About 1 week. They initially estimated the delivery in 2 weeks but I guess it came in early. It was a nice surprise.

Two days, I believe, from the time I put my deposit down until the time I drove away in the Ody.

No deposit, no wait time.No reservations. It was there on the lot when we got there. Lucky.(actually there was an SS right next to it too)

Ordered my Ody on 03-29-01. They told me to expect eight weeks which would put delivery at or around the end of May. I checked with them in the middle of May, around the 17th, and was told that they just received a build date of 06-07-01 and that I could expect a further ten days after that which puts me around the 17th of June. If I don't hear from them by the 15th of June, I'll be making a real pest of myself. I really "do" need to get the van by the end of June if at all possible. I sold my previous car about three weeks ago and have been relegated to the motorcycle exclusively since then. I don't mind that for the most part, I enjoy riding the bike but I have other interests and hobbies for which I "really" need the van.

Still waiting!

wow, you have so much patient.
I don't think I can wait that long.
To Intrepid175,
If you don't want to wait, I would sugggest go to Holmes Honda at Shreveport. After all it is not too far from your location. I picked up my Ody 2001 EX on May 15, after doing an inquiry over the internet on May 14 -- no waiting. You can check its inventory at http://www.holmeshonda.com and ask for a quote. I got $400 discount (below MSRP) from the internet sales manager, Brian Nesbitt. I think if your dealer doesn't give you any discount, the $400 is definitely worth the trip.
Anyway, I'd just came back from the store today to fix the infamous "pull to the right" problem and saw a few Odysseys on the lot. Talk to Brian (very nice guy) and tell him that Azzz from Magnolia, AR sent you. He even gave me a loaner (brand new 2001 Accord) for three hours while waiting for the dealer to fix the problem -- now, that's service.

Good luck.

I'm assuming there can't be that many Azzz's in Magnolia.

From the first time I talked to the dealer to the time I drove it off the lot was about 2 weeks. It would have been sooner but a mixup in the paper work had an LX showing as an EX on the schedule sheet. I got the next EX though.

Not too bad.

Just a nickname that I thought about an hour ago. I thought it's kind of cool and close enough to my real name -- hope no one got a wrong idea, if you know what I mean.
It took 8 weeks from the time we put the deposit down to delivery. We could have got it immediately but that would have cost MSRP + $2000.
We orded our SS in the beginning of Last september and waited for 3 MONTHS until we finally got it in Jan. But we paid about $2750 under MSRP !! I am pretty happy with that !

We got ours from Clear Lake Honda in February after only a two week wait, even though they told us the one I put a deposit on wasn't due to arrive for six weeks. I am guessing that someone changed their mind and I was the first person to answer the phone that day.

If you do stick with Clear Lake, make sure you bring in a quote on a cheap extended warranty (if you are planning to buy it), or they will try to sell you one for $1,450.

Hi Azzz,

Thanks for the link, I checked it out and discovered that they had a SS LX on the lot. That didn't help much!
If they're right in the info my dealer gave me, my van should have made it through the assemply line today (06-07) so I'll give them until the middle of next week to get back with me. After that, I'll probably start looking around again. I think I've been more than patient with them but I'm "ready" to get my new Ody!!

Keep your fingers crossed for me folks!

Be Safe,
Steve

FINALLY!!!! I got a page from Clear Lake Honda this afternoon. The dealer was able to get in touch with Honda today, they'd lost contact because of all the rain we've gotten in the past few days (thank you TS Allison!) and my Ody is due in on Wednesday, 06-13. If it shows up as expected, I'll take delivery either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Be Safe,
Steve
