LX4 235R60/17?

Mine have 36K miles on them and are starting to get a little thin. I rotate them every 5000 miles, and have a program where the dealer pays for two sets over the life of the car if I do all service with him. (Which I would do anyway).

Just wondering how many mile the other folks with these tires on teir Odyssey are seeing before replacement.

From the majority of reports over the years, with a properly 4 wheel aligned Ody, you should achieve what Michelin states as mileage life on their website for each specific model. FWIW, my X's are well over what they specify. I'm very pleased with their performance and lifespan. Your's DO sound a little short of what others have experienced though....

With your next set, please have a competent 4 wheel alignment shop check things out?

what is michelins expected lifespan

I have 15k on my 07 and they look brand new..I rotate every other oil change front to back

We got around 24k out of ours (two different sets) then got around 30k out of a set of Goodyear affinity comfortreads, and now have Yokohama TRZs on the van. (I don't usually let them get all the way down to the indicators before dumping them - so we could have eeked a little more out of them, so maybe 32-33k or something like that for the LX4s and 35-37k for the Goodyears...)

Tossed ours at 30k miles. Too thin for my liking but still had some life if you're the type to run them down to the bars. We drive a lot of curvy roads though and rarely get advertised miles from a set. We replaced with Cooper CS4's and much happier with performance and guessing we'll get about 40k miles out of these (an 80k mile tire).

just bought ours w/ 27k. and tires have 40-50% left.

Run tires hard enough and they'll last not too long.

I distinctly remember destroying a set of Street Yokohama A001's in ONE afternoon of pylon gymhana....

And saw the Motor Trend testing guys running the then new RX7 turbo test car on my lap sessions at Willow Springs Raceway, chunk the stock tires over several 30 minute sessions.

By then I was a member of Team TA using the "shaved" road tires with a much longer life good for at least several race sessions.....

I have pax but still have the same type of tires so LOL well I think I got mine lasted around 40-45k miles too. Just when you replace your set this time set your psi 3-5 over the recommended psi that's on the drivers side door pillar. That way you can get the best mpg and also the life of your tires. But the way that lx4s are wearing pisses me off tho. I hate how these things wear out the outer edges so quickly that makes it look like the cars gona hydroplane even tho the water section for the tires are in the middle.

it's pretty amazing how many of us ody guys are into bikes and sport cars, and drive them vs putter around in them.

i used to have a '93 miata that was full tilt, that i used to auto-x back in tha day, and i do miss that car.

36K -- barely

I got 36,000 miles and rotated myself every 5,000. I replaced with Hankook h727 -- after great reviews on consumer reports magazine. I also needed an alignment ( 4 years). It feels like a new van and is quite as you can believe.

The tires were $525 out the door.

Regards,
Tom

We got 45,000 miles out of ours, could have gone to 50,000 but replaced them before a trip.

We still have the original tires on our 06, just under 55K on them, will probably replace them this spring.

I do a mix of city/highway driving, probably about 50/50. Approx 55000km on them (about 36000 miles) and they are at 7/32 - 6/32. They were used for two winters as well, although last winter and this the snow tires have taken their place. The van has a total of 63,000km on it and the snows have been used for the extra 8,000km

Based on this I figure the Michelins would be good for 80-90,000km (50-55K miles) to the wear bars, or about 75,000km to 4/32" which is where I would replace any tire.

They seem to harden fairly quickly and lose snow traction after 30,000km/20,000 miles. But I think the wear on these tires is quite acceptable given the weight of the vehicle.

If I did not use snow tires I would have replaced them before this year. 6/32" is the minimum I would ever use for winter traction. But I figure I will get one more spring/summer/fall out of them (and then the lease is up anyway, so I don't care...a CRV or Escape will be replacing it)

235/65-16 Michelin LX4; I am at 31K miles and have 6-7/32 remaining according to the Honda Full Circle oil change report last month. I figure on about 50K or if close before a Chicago winter.
235/60-17 Michelin LX4 on my 08 Touring (no-PAX)

I am at 39K miles and have 6-7/32 remaining. Tires are wearing well and are rotated every ~6-7K miles, based on the maintenance minder. Alignment is also in good shape.

Tire pressure is checked weekly and set to specified cold inflation pressures (33 psi front and 35 psi rear). Given that these tires come with 10/32 tread depth, I expect to get a lot of miles/life out of them.
