I should have check this forum before doing repairs - i should know better, being the tightwad that I am.

I went to the Honda dealer with two issues last year. First, my dash lights were out. Second, my sliding door keeps popping open just before it closes.

Dealer told me that the dash bulbs are not covered under my Honda Care ext. warranty and cost $160 to replace. I decided to buy the bulbs myself for $20 and followed a posters instructions. He also told me the fix to the door is considered a "calibration" which is also not covered - cost $80.

I know learn through some posts here that the bulbs are in fact covered. Now I am wondering if the door was also (by the way, the sliding door problem is happening again and I called the dealer and they said since its over six months, they would have to charge me again).

Is there any recourse for me?

From reading other posts it sounds like you could call Honda crae and submit the recipts direct. Other people push the dealer who are supprised by what it covers. And one dealer even reimbursed direct.

Bottom line some dealers need to be pushed, they sound lazy.

Of course this is a real old post, but answering the question for the next person who reads this.
