I use a wheelchair and presently drive a very reliable 2001 Honda Odyssey EX.
This vehicle has 175000 miles and it's about time I bought a new 2019 Odyssey EX!
BUT, when recently looking at this new van, although the middle row seats[some models with 2, some with 3 seats]are able to come out, the slider unit UNDER these seats appears to be connected to the sliding trac[which apparently is BOLTED to the floorboard,etc].
I really WANT the new 2019 Odyssey EX, but as long as this "sliding trac unit" is in the middle row floor area, it makes setting my wheelchair there an obstacle!
In addition to the somewhat raised "sliding trac", Honda decided to add a raised plastic unit on the floor to "elevate" the sliding unit and make it "appear" to be flat!
Gee, I wish Honda had NOT put this bulky and intrusive sliding unit for middle row seats there at all and is there ANY way to completely remove all this plastic housing and sliding unit and make the fllor FLAT?
Otherwise, it appears I'm going to buy a..Chrysler Pacifica which has those nifty "sto N go" seats..
ps: I realize the Chrysler Pacifica is NOT the tech wonder that Honda Odyssey is, but I need a FLAT middle row!
