After 2 years w/o an ody we have returned to a 2011 Elite. My wife was driving me nuts that our MDX did not have enough space for our 2 kids, stuff and the occasional visit for our independent child and her spouse. I traded my 06 RL for it and kept her 08 MDX. What can I say, the van is much nicer in all respects than our 05, particularly in NVH. It also accelerates with much more vigor and has noticeably better fuel economy. THis time around I have equipped it with studless blizzak tires and after last weeks snow dump I can attest that they do take care of snow mobility issues with aplomb (blizzak DMV1). I have been so impressed with their snow performance that I swapped the michelin "performance" snow tires on my MDX. Now that, is an unstoppable combo SHAWD plus Blizzaks, makes me want to go busting over snow banks :) Please note that the michelin X ice has similar characteristics but doesn't come in the size 18 rim of the Ody. We have had it now for 2 mths and beside the annoying battery low alarm the car works spectacularly and has had zero defects, its a pleasure to drive any distance and the audio system is AWESOME. Im still getting used to the non Honda standard phone system, the voice command system for the phone is now pretty irelevant, the good old push button "call freddy" doesn't really function as smoothly, its now easier to use the nav system ( a step back in safety I'm afraid). It s also impossible to completely quiet the nav system "nag". NOt necessarily a big deal but new stuff for us "original" Honda nav users to learn. Superbly pleased with the purchase, I was worried of "sluming it" feeling after switching from the MDX to the Ody, it was completely unfounded. The touring odyssey could easily wear calipers instead of an H on the grill.

Another MDX/Ody combo here. Thinking about upgrading to the new Ody when Honda comes out with the financing deals.

Wont regret it. We are particularly pleased with how much thriftier the Ody is compared to the MDX (we were particularly dismayed how much the MDX consumed when compared to our previous ody). However I love the MDX, IMO best car Honda has ever made bar the s2000 (and the NSX of course). I have an s2K and I wish I had had an NSX ;)

Nice! I had an S2000 also, but just couldn't live with the lack of torque! Still, sometimes I wish I had it back, its definitely a future collector car. Basically hand made and a limited run to boot!

Mine is sleeping peacefully with the cover on. Its my summer daily driver. Not worried about torque, after 6K its moot. I have super sticky tires on it you cant even do burn outs, I already blew the clutch trying :) Still a rush!
