Not that I've been missed, but I haven't been visiting the forum for some time because I've had so much to do at work.

Jim - I took down my old pictures. I'll let you know where the new pictures are as soon as I post them.

I finally got around to wiring in the video on navi adapter. It works great! (Thanks Steve.) I'm using a portable toshiba player as the source. This way, we can take it into the hotel (rather than have the kids wanting to sit in the van). I have the sound piped in through the aux in on the cd changer adapter.

Next up is the rear monitor(s) - 10+ inch flip down or four in the headrests. I can't decide which is better. Any opinions.

Welcome back Lorax! I knew you were missing in action. Good to here you got the VideoNAVI working, same here! Although I'm still waiting for my Sony XA-107 aux-in adapter so I could route the sound. What kind of adapter do you have?

As for the monitors...my votes for headrest lcds. Even though they might be more expensive and are harder to install I think they look very impressive!

Thanks guys.

nemo - I'm still using the stock head unit so I went with a Clarion changer. I'm using the Peripheral adapter HONCLRX which has the aux in. It didn't sound so good the first time I tested it (a little dead, but all there), but I don't know if the fault is with the player or the adapter. I'm hoping I can tweak settings on the player to make it better. I'm using a Toshiba SDP1000.

I agreee with you - headrest monitors really look cooler, but I think the dropdown (especially over 10") will be better to watch. From what I've seen, it's actually cheaper to get four 5" headrest monitors than a 10"+ dropdown. Maybe I should be looking at 5.6". What size would you put in the headrests?

By the way, why is Hy selling his Ody?

Well I now for my SONY headunit it has AUX input but it's only for the changer. I heard it uses something called a "propriotary inferface" so it won't accept any ol' RCA plug. That's why I had to order that SONY XA-107 unit. With this I can retain the control and use of the changer and have an addition RCA input for things like MP3 players, VCP, DVDs, etc. A possible alternative is getting a RF modulator.

As for the headrests, you can could go w/ 5, 6, or even 7 inch screens. Although you might have a hard time mounting them because of the curved shape of the back of our headrests. If I ever did do the mod I would most likely swap my headrests w/ the flatter Accords.
