Getting a lot of conflicting info on this subject so far. I'm considering doing this but wanted to find out once and for all what-if any- pitfalls lie ahead!
The DMV was no help at all, I spent about 15 minutes on hold and finally had the privilege of speaking to a rather surly, clueless govt. employee.
I did, however, find on the C.A.R.B. website a phone number with a very helpful gentleman who gave me accurate and clear info.
Bottom line is, the vehicle MUST be U.S. EPA and CARB certified and the underhood sticker must say so. He did say that something stating "50 state certified" would also suffice. It is my understanding that the Ody is 50 state smog legal and should have this sticker under the hood somewhere.
If anyone who has their '02 could take a look, I would sure appreciate it.
