Getting a lot of conflicting info on this subject so far. I'm considering doing this but wanted to find out once and for all what-if any- pitfalls lie ahead!
The DMV was no help at all, I spent about 15 minutes on hold and finally had the privilege of speaking to a rather surly, clueless govt. employee.
I did, however, find on the C.A.R.B. website a phone number with a very helpful gentleman who gave me accurate and clear info.
Bottom line is, the vehicle MUST be U.S. EPA and CARB certified and the underhood sticker must say so. He did say that something stating "50 state certified" would also suffice. It is my understanding that the Ody is 50 state smog legal and should have this sticker under the hood somewhere.
If anyone who has their '02 could take a look, I would sure appreciate it.

Hi Ody,

The emissions sticker on my '01 LX is located on the underside of the hood slightly to the passenger side of center. It reads, and I quote:

"This vehicle conforms to US EPA NLEV and clean-fuel vehicle and California regulations applicaple to gasoline fueled 2001 model year new LEV light duty trucks."

I see no reason why the 2002 models wouldn't also comply.

Hope this helps,

Same in our 2002, except it states 2002.
Including the reference to Cal, and we are in Tennessee.

GREAT NEWS! I'm not sure if this is the direction I will go or not, but it's nice to be sure of my options. Thanks for the help...

adam1991-Hmmm... wonder why no sticker? Oh well, thanks for looking anyway!
