Hey guys,
I just bought my wife a 2003 Odyssey EX-L RES last week. It's in great shape for an 8 year old van, but it does have a few things I need to fix/work on.
After searching through this forum I am well aware of the transmission issues that this year/model suffer from. Our Odyssey has 120k miles and I'm not sure when the last time the ATF fluid was changed, if ever. The transmission is slipping a little between shifts from 2nd to 3rd.
So first on my list of things to work on is to flush the transmission. I have found several threads that mention this process but I'm still not exactly sure.
I am wanting to flush the transmission and change the ATF filter. If I'm understanding correctly, I will need to drain the ATF three times in order to ensure a good flush of the old fluid. But when in the process do you guy suggest changing the ATF filter? Do you change it before the flush, or after?
I appreciate any help here guys,
