Yup, dealer finally got one it stock. Just for fun I check dealer inventory everyday (the internet is a wondrous thing). So I called them up and went to test drive. They only gave me 1500 off list but threw in a roof rack, body side moulding, cargo tray, splash guard, tint and cargo net. Gave blue book value for our 08 Ody. So with the .9% finance rate, pulled the trigger.

Nice upgrade. Wife misses the power pedals but loves of all things the new key. I like the new audio system with iPod integration and the handsfree system works way better than the 08. Ride is smoother and a bit quieter, but then again our 08 had 42,000 miles so not a fair comparison. But will say that the body on the 11 seems 10 times more solid. Don't like the cost cutting like the lack of inboard arm rests and roof rack delete and power pedals of course, and the wipers are old style instead of aero. I also love the real silver instead of the gold-ish pearl on the 08. Can you tell I'm excited?

Nice van. Congrats. I got the low batt warning the day I got it and for a few weeks thereafter. Went on a couple 80 mile trips and haven't seen it since. Had a front strut replaced and the TSB for creaking struts performed. Otherwise no issues and love the van. Enjoy it! P.S. I highly recommend the non slip pads for the dash console and cup holders. $25 on eBay.

+1, awesome car, we are car twins, i believe alabaster is THE Elite color, it just matches perfectly the interior tones of black, pewter, and gray.

Thanks all.

So far so good, no warnings on the dash. Already have 400 miles on it, my daughter is on a softball travel team, and we're really enjoying it. The Nav system is light years ahead of the 08's. Simple things like syncing the cell phone is vastly superior. Love the HID too, should be standard on all models, as I think its a safety issue. One thing we notice is that its seem a lot lower than the 08s. Almost car like. Door handles are lower and you don't seem to sit as high as before. Was this a conscious effort on Honda's part? Because we don't mind sitting higher, in Texas anyway, seems like everyone drives an SUV or pickup. Cool box is just OK, not really an outright refrigerator. Already ordered the dash pads for the center console. So great first weekend. Hopefully it stays that way. I did check the door jamb sticker, and it was build 8/11, so I expect they made all the latest changes on it already.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I prefer the clean, contemporary simplicity of OdyDudy's van, with no door protector strips or roof rack, compared to the same vehicle with those accessory items installed.

To my eye, it's a classic case of "more is less."

I can respect that.... However for my case, some of these items not only look good (in my eyes) but are very functional. I have 4-5 dings/chips on the door protector already so it's really doing its job. I use the roof rack in the winter for snowboarding/skiing. And the splash guards minimize splash marks on the body when going over water. The extra tint also makes the van cooler in the summer and increases privacy.

So finally got the accessories installed. I'm in both camps. It did look cleaner without the add ons, but they are very practical add ons. Probably the thing that doesn't work for me are the mud flaps. They look stuck on instead of integrated, probably because of the body colored rocker panels. The roof rack and the side molding look like it could have been standard. So I'm good with those. Well anyway, its our family battle car, so its ready for the wilds of Texas.

Looks good, I agree the mug guards are fugly but they help keep the "mud" off the car. I have the body side moldings also, which such a big door on the Ody I think we need them. Imagine a door ding dent right in the middle of the door where the moldings go, that would suck.

I think the mug guards looks a tiny bit better on my EX-L since my lower panel under door is black and not body matched.
