Hey there fellow Odyssey drivers! I recently bought a 2005 Odyssey with the Entertainment package but threw some g's at it and upgraded the head unit to a Kenwood Excelon DVD/GPS unit and wonder if there is a way to link the head unit to the fold down screen. Has anyone done this and if so, how or who did the work?

Call Kenwood as they are probably the only people who would know.

There's no way to power the RES screen with an aftermarket radio.

Doesn't mean its impossible but its quite hard. You HAVE to use the board of your current radio or get a EX-L R&N Radio unit which drives the RES and then plug it in that way. Both ways have been done and instructions posted here but just using your kenwood to power the RES screen is not possible due to the Honda proprietary bus that the RES uses to communicate.

Search for AVIC-D3 installs and some other Pioneer and Kenwood installs with factory RES threads for more info. One of the posters who did this is CivicFerioViRS but he's been MIA since he posted some of his work pix back in the day.
