I'd like to gather all your pet peeves on this car. If you don't have any, thats great.

If you hate everything about it, don't post your buyer remorse story. Just post the little things YOU can live with. Thanks.

My list:

TOO MANY BLIND SPOTS. Especially that blind spot on the rear passengers side. Yes I know its a VAN. I'm a new van owner. Never drove a van in my life.

Factory alarm. Will change it later down the road.

Other than that, car is great to drive.

Thats it. Yours?

1)fitment of the front bumper. there is a big gap on the corner of front fender and headlight
2)fitment of exterior plastic piece on the c-pillar.
3)bluetooth comes on and off w/ my samsung droid charge after i look up phonebook.
4)2nd and 3rd row seat does not recline all the way back.
5)i start to hear some wind noise near upper corner of driver's side door.
6) some interior trim pieces are cheap... like scion xb.
7)brake pedal feels loose.. as if there are airs in the brake system and it needs bleeding.

Just one nit

So far (I've only had it 2 weeks), the only thing I can complain about is the bluetooth/USB contention if I hook my Iphone up via USB. Other than that the fit and finish have been very good and have not experienced any of the other things folks complain about here (knocking on wood loudly).

I'm going to add some.

1. automatic adjustable drivers seat.
2. EX doesn't come with the 3rd sun visor.
3. There is a hump on the drivers foot well which makes the WT mats pop up and not stay flush. The OEM mats had a plastic slot so it can be flush with foot well. The WTs dont have that.

I am sorry but how is this a dislike against the Oddy. Honda did have the right mats and you chose to get WTs which do not have the slot so. This would be a dislike with WT not the oddy. Right?

I don't agree with that. Its part of the car. So anything part of the car qualifies. Not considered modified too.

Its not a cheap part that you buy in Autozone. Than I understand. But when they laser fit it, I expected it to fit just like the OEM ones. BTW it also has the print "ODYSSEY" in the front.

Do you have the Honda all weather mats or Weather Tech (referred to as WT over here) mats? If you have WT mats, your gripe is against WT and NOT Honda for this one. I agree with the rest but how can you blame Honda for bad laser fitment that a 3rd party company did?

Well it doesn't have the WT signature on the sides. I've seen those. It has a different grid pattern. And shows an "odyssey" logo on it.

These:

Well if they are WTs and from a different party then excuse me. You stand correct.

Naww its not a bad laser fitment. They did an excellent job on fitment. They should of added that piece on it so it can be tucked in like the OEM mats had otherwise it wouldn't be flush on the door well. The picture doesn't show it going up. Of course they made it look good.

My complaint list, which are small compared to my likes:

1) THE ENGINE....I HATE, aboslutely HATE how it feels like the engine breaks when I release the gas pedal. IT's the variable transmission doing it's thing, but I hate the drop in power. I'd rather have lesser gas mileage than this annoyance(and IMO safety hazard).

2) Lack of auto-adjusted mirrors

3) A way to have 2nd and 3rd row floor mats with the 3rd row seats down. Think weather tech mats.

4) Bluetooth is instable on my wife's samsung phone

5) HDMI and AC/component jacks in the 3rd row are opposite of each other.

6) If i open the sliding door with the key fob, I'm REQUIRED to also unlock the front with a 2nd click on the fob as well.

7) Surround sound for the radio turns off when the DVD player & headphones are in use.

8) Having to unlock the doors from the inside before being able to open the sliding doors on the driver side.

9) Lack of ability t watch DVD on the GPS monitor when the car is parked

10) No inner arm rests on the middle row on the captains chair, if for some reason the middle seat needed to come out.

The mats you picutre are the OEM all weather mats from Honda. I am interested in your comments as mine should have just showed up at home and are waiting for me tonight. I'll see if I have the same issue.

In that case, the mats are not WT mats and this is a Honda screwup. :)

Cool. Someone with the same mats. Okay when you get them, focus on the OEM drivers mat. When you remove them, notice a plastic piece attached to the OEM mat tucked underneath the door step. They engineered that because there is a pedruding bulge near the door step. If Honda didn't make this piece, the OEM mat will look "lifted" if you will. Therefore honda engineered this plastic piece to be tucked in to give a "flush look" to the door step. (as I call it) Understand?

WELL, the OEM all weather mats from honda doesn't have this plastic hold down piece. Therefore the mat looks "lifted" up. Now the passenger side looks fine as hell. Because there is no bump there.

If you have a solution for that let us know.

Again I can live with that and its not a show stopper for me if theres nothing we can do about that. And its not too bad.

I never noticed the bulge in the all season floor mats until you mentioned it. I would never have given it a second thought. Over time they sit down pretty good but it will never completely go away. Could always try a sledge hammer.....

Haha. If nothing can be done, I can live with it. No biggy. If you couldn't notice it, then others won't. I'm good with that.

little personal dislike

> Engine should be improve from 3.5l to 3.7l w/ 6 speed a/t
> dashboard and interior should be at least at par with acura
> The rims could be improved to 19in or better

As much as I don't like the 2011 Ody, I can assure you that no van has a blind spot worse than the Sienna. Between the long slide second row, and the short third row windows (to accommodate the integrated door tracks), there is a good 3 to 4 feet on the right of the vehicle that you can not see. I found the idea to be frightening when I was just sitting in one in a parking lot.

+1. I think it is a clever thing, but better engineering is needed. Now, credit to the improvements done over time, the "feel" seems very subtle compared to some posts of the earlier models' owners read here in the forum.

Apart from the VCM I have some of the 1st year model gripes, but I could not say it is a general car dislike, it is just the risk of buying early in the game (the benefits have outnumbered the annoyances though).

If you couldn't notice it, then others won't. I'm good with that.
Did not notice it either, but it might be easy to add that plastic ear as the regular ones?

How much would you be willing to pay more if I can ask?
