Hi,

While my wife only has 38k on her Ody, she apparently loves to Mash the brake pedal any chance she gets. So the pads are done & I was figuring I would look to the forum gods to see if there was a write up on changing the brakes.

I figure that someone must have done this already but I cannot find a write up with the search.

So, can anyone help point me in the right direction?

PS:
- Get spare rotor screws from Honda dealer.
- I have been using Autozone Rotors (2yr warranty) and Duralast pads (life-time warranty, when worn, bring old pads in to get new pads for free) with no issue at all.

thanks for the step-by-step in the other thread, it helped tremendously. i did the front brakes on a 06, 70K miles and it's the first time i changed the pads. took the rotors to o'reilly ($10 a piece) to turn, and got wagner thermoquiet pads for $46 - the reason i went with these is that i get a free replacement when they wear out (one time only).

the only rough spots in the process were removing the rotor screws, i almost stripped them. some wd40, some hammering and they came out.

also, not having a torque wrench, i just tightened the caliper bolts as much as i could, and they seem ok.
