I bought a cheap aftermarket Ebay body kit 2 years ago and now I am regretting it. It was one of those "Made in China" kits and the fiberglass material is cheap and thin and cracks very easy. I don't want to give up on my odyssey project and buy a new car so I am thinking about buying another kit. Are the "Made in Japan" body kits as much of a headache as the Made in China body kits? Is the fiberglass material thicker and less resistant to rips? As always, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have access to a few body kits.

Most body kits, regardless of country made, are usually 3-4 layers of fiberglass.
The higher quality kits are a little thicker.

If you are happy with the style of kit you already have, it might be worth spending $100 in material and coating the back side of what pieces are cracking with a fresh layer of fiberglass mat. It should solve your cracking issues if done correctly.
