I may be the only Ody owner who could care less about the "magic seat". In fact I unbolted it when I got it home and put it in the basement. Why? Well I wanted the cargo room and that great storage well. Also I didn't want to be known as the guy who can haul seven people around.(ie Mr. Taxi)

I now have a great utility van that can comfortably seat 4 adults.

I'am hoping that Honda makes that third seat easily removable and flat folding in it's future makeovers just to add even more usability.

Congrats. It's now an "SUV" (Smagic-less Utility Van).

I've thought about removing the magic seat as well but don't really want it taking up space in the house. Plus it's a cool function to show off to friends...seat goes up, seat goes down.

Interesting idea but I've way too many regular passengers to even consider. In our family, its a magic flip-over changing table!
