My 2010 Ody is just out of warranty so I'm recently under the hood for the first time. Had a problem with #3 cylinder misfire (see earlier post "2010 firing order and cylinder locations"). Bought a set of plugs from Autozone but realized quickly they were the wrong type. Mine are longer in the threaded area and have finer threads that the ones they gave me. Long story short, found out there are two engine types for my Ody. J35A6 and J35A7. I have the A7 and need the longer plugs which seem to be harder to get. Only 4 available locally and are just over $10.00 each.
Decided to just replace #3 plug for now but also check the other 5. Interesting find was that all three of the plugs in back were noticeably darker and had some deposits showing on the tips. The three front plugs look practically new with a light grey color. I wonder if the difference has anything to do with the ECO system where three cylinders drop out when cruising?

Whatever you do, use only Honda or NGK plugs.
I posted info in the spark plug DIY thread.
