At least according to some around here. Picked up a 2011 Sienna Ltd last night. Wife had choice of pretty much any vehicle under $50k and that's what she went with. It was close at the end between an MDX, Acadia Denali, and Sienna but the cargo space of the van was just too much of a selling point.

I tried to point her toward the Ody (mainly because it was significantly cheaper than the Sienna she wanted) but between the lack of colors choices, exterior "style", and historical dissatisfaction with the Ody...I didn't have much of a chance.

Not really the dark side for us....this will be the 5th Toyota vs the Ody being our first Honda.

We have a deposit on our Ody from a private buyer so we didn't trade it in. Hopefully that doesn't bite me in the arse...but it's a friend of my wife that swears she wants it. Usually when I try to do something nice it comes back to haunt me. We've taken very good care of it and done more maintenance (tranny fluid changes, etc) than "required" so I hate to see it blown through the auction.

Good luck everyone. I've been here since the '05 models went on sale and bought one shortly thereafter. Guess I'm a sucker for first year vehicles:DD

They're both good sides my friend. The dark side would be if you got a Kia.

Don't just leave. Do show up once in a while. Good luck. :)

For some strange reason I had a feeling this was coming ;D Had you gone with the Ody would you have gotten the Elite? Will there be a comparison? I agree to please come back, but if you don't I'll see you on Siennachat;) (from what it looks like on there, there will be several other "conversion" threads coming soon....Good Luck

I would have gone with the Touring Ody. Only went with the Ltd to get the color combo she wanted...Blizzard Pearl/Bisque only available on Ltd. I figure next year they'll offer it on the XLE...

I found it interesting that Honda does have a White Diamond color they offer on the Pilot....not sure why quite possibly the worst vehicle in the Honda lineup would have better color choices.

Congrats on the decision, skinny2. When I saw your post, I figured you had finally found that Pearl White Enclave.

Enjoy the Toyo, it is a great van, and much more pleasing visually!

I went to the Columbus car show yesterday, and they had the SEMA Sienna that had a 44" stretch, was lowered to the ground and had wood floors...WTF?

Well that would be a bit much. The Sienna really feels bigger inside...not sure why as they're close on overall specs.

I'm surprised we ended up with another van as she was sure she wanted an Enclave/Acadia or an MDX. But when it came down to it, she just wasn't ready to give up the cargo space. When it was all said and done...the Acadia Denali actually would have been cheaper than the Sienna! Nutso but whatever she wants...happy wife happy life. Denali didn't have dual moonroofs or the huge TV like Sienna but it did have HUD which was very nice.
