I cant comment on that since i ONLY use reg. Why are you wasting 30-40cents for a thing that would not yield SIGNIFICANT change?

I can tell you though that i noticed a considerable lower mpg if i put gas with blend of ethanol

Well, that's the thing. You really couldn't say you're wasting money if it hasn't been tried. 10% more money for 0%, 5%, 10% more MPG?

Well, other poor folks who do not own the "special" 2011 oddy have tried and never yeilded higher mpg or better performance but since you are priviledged with the "special" 2011 model, please try it out and report back for the others. ;)

Well, since you chose to not read up on any prior posts (very very similar engies so perhaps looking at prior gen would be of value for this topic) and immediately negated the first reply you got, what's the harm in asking you to try it out yourself to post results?

I'm also one of the people that have a "special" 2011 Odyssey. It's my first Honda, and it's so nice to know that our moderator makes us feel so welcome, and open to discussions.
I, too, could've made the same mistake asking about gas mileage since I'm one of the special people that doesn't know the history of the Odyssey.
Thanks for your sarcastic reply! Now go out and do a search on Moderators, and report back for the others.

I think instead of looking at different grades to affect fuel economy, one should instead look at whether or not your gas contains Ethanol. That has a MUCH more proven effect on gas mileage.

I don't know where all of you are, but here in Seattle, it seems like 99% of the gas stations are all selling 10% ethanol gas. I know if I go out of my way to a known station that sells 100% gas, that I get about 3 -4 MPG increase per tank. I just wished that more of the mainstream (BIG) statiions gave me the option of non-ethanol gas. The places I go to for pure gas are small, dinky, ma-pa gas stations but their prices are the same as the other stations... at the same prices, you are definitely getting more bang for your buck (literally!) with NON-Ethanol gas.

I just read in this forum, but I have to totally agree with you on this.
I also agree. He has been a total douche in many of the 2011 posts. You do realize that the way the forum makes money is via advertising? More posts = more views = more advertising revenue. Obviously many people were curious on this topic too, self included. Let us ask the questions already!

There are at least two existing threads on this in the 2011 forum alone let alone in other forums. So this one is now closed. I started to go easy by not closing redundant threads. Perhaps I should start that back.

As to posting questions unscrutinized, well, search and post in existing threads on the same topic and the scrutiny will be a lot less.
