The van is getting some much needed love. At 145K miles it has seen some events and hauled some parts as a support vehicle for my eclipse and my sons racing kart team. Here are some starter photos:

My other car (http://www.memoryfoam.us/gallery.htm) is heavily modded on the exterior so I plan on staying stock as far as the body panels on the van. The paint will have a different look though when it is done.

It looks like the paintwork will come out nicely, but the scheme isn't really for me. It looks like something from a 1990's car show.

I thought about it long and hard before I decided on two tone but the more I played my son's video games the more I liked two toned. It appears that most cars in video games are two toned.

Of course it is still waiting on painted side skirts and mirrors.

I guess it depends on what video games you're referring to. Racing simulators, like the Forza and Gran Turismo series, typically don't have two-tone paint schemes. Arcade/fictional racing titles, like the current Need For Speed titles, tend to run more multi-tone paint schemes.

If you look around a little I think you will see that there are more and more two toned cars popping up.

I really like the all black top It is true about the two tone thing. Its going around cause i see it by me.

any reason why the body shop didn't spend the extra 10 minutes to pull the headlights and tails before painting? There's bound to be some overspray where they masked off with tape...

I was doing alot of the prep work myself (the paint was sponsored) and just got tired. What little overspray there was came off easily with a little clay bar.

No wet sanding or buffing yet but you can get the idea
