Anyone have any idea why my muffler keeps going bad? This will be the third time I replace it. I also notice a small water puddle under the tailpipe whenever I rev it in the driveway. even when the engine is at NOT. The muffler rattles on the inside like the baffles have broken or something. I also notice my van has no flexpipe. Is that normal? thanks

Muffler bad?
What are you replacing it with, and who is telling you your muffler is bad? Mufflers don't "go bad" very often and if they do its because you replaced it with a cheap one.

Water from the tail pipe is normal, that is from the catalyst in the exhaust.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the exhaust shop I go to is cheap as far as prices go. So its possible the part is very cheap. I had an accord before and I notice my 95 ody's exhaust system doesn't have a flex pipe. I'll try a different muffler shop and see what happens.
