Hi Everyone

I bought a 2002 Honda odyssey and found that in the city I am getting 12.3 MPG but as per honda it should be 17 MPG, I have changed the spark plugs and air intake filter but nothing has been changed, I took it to Canadian Tire Auto repair center and they have run the diagonostic tools to find if there is any hidden code, but fortunately they could not find any code at all. Can any one advise me what to do.

Thanks

The Odyssey has less problems with the OEM spark plugs (NGK Platinums). Here in Canada, they are around $15-20 each, I believe.

Also pump up all your tires to 35-38 PSI.

If you do alot of short trips and the van does not reach operating temp (temp needle reaches the middle of gauge) then fuel efficiency will suffer.

Sometimes a sticking brake caliper can cause rolling resistance too.
