In Northern Ca, but I paid $1,975, to have my 2001, tranny rebuilt. About 3 years ago. Independent Mechanic, recommended by many.
At the time Dealers were asking around $5,000.

Some places, ie, AMCO, (avoid) and others, remove existing transmission send it out to 3rd party for rebuild, then re - install. This adds to the cost.

The 1999-2001, have the 4 speed tranny. Fewer gears than newer Odysseys. If you cannot find a recommendation, Visit some recommended mechanics and ask them. Also, if you see vans like yours, ask the owner who they used.

Most vans of this vintage are on their 3rd or 4th transmission. Good luck.
