My wife started out on a two hour drive to Oklahoma in her 2010 Touring and called from a short distance away and said she heard a sound like a pop and something sounded like a bolt hitting something from inside and then the passenger air went to hot while both driver vents were still cold on a 92 degree morning. I told her to come back and take the 2011 Touring Elite.
I tried increasing the fan speed at idle and turned the AC off and back on and the driver vents are cold and the passenger vents are hot. I Searched the archives and found threads about the opposite problem of driver vents hot and passenger vents cold, a pdf about low refrigerant, and a video on removing the driver side blend door actuator that was stuck on hot mode followed by a video on cleaning its contacts, and finally a video by MrRangerZr1 on removing the glove box and the passenger side actuator. Are all Gen 3 models the same on the passenger side?
Anyone have advice or another video on removing the passenger side blend door actuator before I dig into it? Looks pretty tight in there.
