NEUTRAL POSITION LIGHT ON INSTRUMENT PANEL?

I purchased an 01SS LX in July and have noticed that when the transmission is in nuetral the letter "N" does not light up as all of the other position. Is this normal or do I have a light out?

You definitely have a light out, all gears should have a light.
