Ok the vehicle is
2007 EX-L with RES.
85k right now.
PowerTrain warranty for years or 100K.

Beening experiencing high gas milage.
like 14.3l/100K on mostly highway....90% hwy.
Tranny not locking in properly in any gear from 50 to 119.

also - Is VCM supposed to kick in at 120 and above or not....mine does not.
dealer stated that over 120 no vcm is normal.

so after test drive and diagnostic, dealer stated:
1) I need a new TC. - covered under warranty as all service on vehicle completed at dealer only in the past. (I just got this van a month ago...2nd owner I am).
2) Rear Engine mount cause of vibration - I have to pay for this. - 700 for part and approx 2 hours labour.

They CLEARLY stated that the new TC is an updated unit from Honda. - Is that true?

The Transmission Oil change Minder has not come up yet on this vehicle YET.
at 85 K - mostly Highway.....hence the previous dealer who always serviced this....has confirmed....NO Transmission oil change done EVER.
Oil is good and red and good level and finger print can be seen when you place a drop on your finger.

Any thing else I should ask the dealer to do.
PS: Timing belt was done at 75 K under warranty also.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

The brake fluid should be changed every 3 years (maybe every 2 years in damp Vancouver.)
You might also want to check the brake pads. The OEM's can wear down quickly under certain conditions (highway driving isn't one of them, but thinking of the previous owner).

Brakes will deter the fuel economy.

Does anyone know if an UPDATED TC is being installed or the not?

Any ohter suggestion are welcome.

Thanks in advance.
