Hello. Purchased some As New ‘15 Ody 2nd row captain’s chairs. It was too good of a Deal to pass up. The intended application is for my (Ford) van conversion. I will be doing Long Haul runs, and wanted more comfort/support. The more common seat used is Sienna, but as mentioned, couldn’t pass it up.

That being said, I have run in to an unanticipated Snag. When I bought them, I ASSumed that I could just swap the Uppers, to achieve the Armrest in the needed location (inside). OE has them on the “wrong” side for front cabin seats. I failed to realize, in my excitement, that the Levers/Releases cannot simply be swapped to (other) side.

So, has anyone here ADDED an OE Armrest to their captain’s chairs ? I figure having two armrests is an ‘easier’ solution, than One Armrest on the Wrong side.

Thoughts, please .... ?
Thank You

Maybe ask in the 2011-2017 Ody section?

I wanted to do the same. It's possible, but a it complicated. There isn't a spot for the armrest to mount to. You'll need to attach/weld a piece of flat metal on the empty side.
