I realize this may be a duplicate question with a corresponding answer thread.
97 with 269K miles, rebuilt motor @ 250K. Left in my driveway for a month. Will not start. Will turn over with a battery recharge. Started with plug wires, plugs replaced. Had to look at firing order, turns over and then starts really rough then dies. I got it fired up with what sounds like two of the four and a gas smell. Could the distributor be an issue? Mind you I am a weekend mechanic and don't have he tools to check the fuel rail for injector issues. Any help would be nice. Any pointers for the dist. cap and cleaning would be great.
