I have 04 Odyssey and it has about 60K miles. I got front brakes replaced last year and some time during last year, there is a squeaking type sound coming from the front (it seems from left side) at low speeds. The sound starts only after about I have driven for a mile or so. It comes only when I have come to a complete stop and then I go to accelerator, and then only the noise is there. It goes away as soon as I am over 20 mph.

Any idea what this noise may be...brake or shocks?

Thanks

Sounds like the caliper piston isn't retracting easily enough so the pad is staying in contact with the rotor. Have you changed the brake fluid regularly? That's the best insurance against caliper bore corrosion.

Another possibility is that the caliper isn't sliding freely on the pins. So the outboard pad may be stuck against the rotor.

Feel the rotor on that side after you have driven for a while. If it's very hot, the pad may be staying in contact with the rotor even after the squeaking has stopped.
