My 2000 Odyssey (passenger) sliding door alarm has started beeping intermittently while driving, when the door is closed. I can usually stop the beeping for a few seconds by pressing the dashboard Close Door button, but it will often start again within a few seconds or minutes of this. It seems to happen more often when the outside temperature is cold, as a general rule, but I can't determine a definite pattern of what makes it act up. I can sometimes go days without this happening; sometimes, however, even pressing and continuously holding the Close Door button won't stop it. Makes no difference if the doors are locked or not. My mechanic hasn't been able to determine what the issue is; of course, the doors won't ever buzz when he has the car. Has anyone else had this problem, and any ideas on what I can do (or advise the mechanic to do) to fix it? I'm about three buzzes away from the loony bin at this point!

Clean the door contacts and check the door close switches.
