Have a 2019 with the 9-speed, noticed when it's really cold it'll hold on to 1st gear longer than it should for the first time. It's a very short gear, so pretty noticeable when it doesn't drop to second at a "normal" rate. Also doesn't select first gear if you don't come to an absolute dead stop at a light or stop sign - will just start out in second.

Thanks for your input ? And your description is exactly what happens. Hope it’s nothing to worry about.... yet ?

same here, 10 speed, but seems like it happens only when it is super cold outside, doesn't happen once car warms up

2018 Elite, and it happens to us as well. Usually early morning (doesn't get that cold in Cali, but probably in the mid 50s). Start engine, reverse out of garage, then put in drive (on a slight decline if that makes any difference). Car will rev up past 3000 so we have to drive very gingerly the first 10 seconds or so until it decides to switch to 2nd gear. Can't manually switch to 2nd gear either. In "D" standard mode, no ECON. Maybe I'll try in "S" mode to see if it makes any difference?
