I downloaded an Ody owners manual and was looking at the Maintenance Schedule. From a long time back I was a 3000 Miles change the oil AND filter. Now I see you change the oil every 7500 Miles and the filter every other time. Does this seem strange to anyone else?

I was thinking of trying to put together a "kit" of maintenance items needed for two years and then try to get a group discount from Trevor on those items. Currently I have the following list of items:

2 sets of wipers all around
4 Oil Filters (7500, every other time)
2 Air Filters
1 A/C Filter
2 Drain Plug Washers

So, all we would have to buy locally would be the oil. What do you guys think of the idea? Am I thinking the right quantities?

Can't speak to the whole kit you mention, but currently hondapartsforyou.com has the oil filter + washer and the air filter for less than handa, unless you get a special deal. If you don't get any special deal you may want to check with them.

I change oil filters every oil change, just can't convince myself leaving a dirty filter on is a good idea. I also am one who changes oil more often than the 7500, just can't get past old habits.

Bruno,

Where did you download the manual from? I just bought a Canadian Odyssey, eh, and the owner's manual was in French. Not much help to me!

Does anyone know if you can download the service manual??

Follow the instructions and look in the site map at the top of the screen. You will find the Owners Manual in there. They may have altered the site some since the instructions were first posted.

Go to the Owners Link Page...Select Test Drive Owner Link...Fill out your Ody model Info and Submit...Goto Model Information..Now on the left hand menu under Model Information you will see Owner's Manual...You can now see a link to View or Download a complete copy of your manual for your year!

Goodluck!

Unless they have changed it recently, you can download the '02 Owner's Manual but not the earlier years. I downloaded the '02 manual to compare it to the '01 I already had.

And the SuperSleuth award goes to Lanny with the 2K1 EX!!

I used the "TEST" feature of OwnerLink and set it up using a 2002 Odyssey. Then I saw where it says view online or download...

When I do it with a 2001, the only option is a link to Helms where you can order a printed manual.

Thanks for the help!
