have Ody 01, at first start of the engine, the idle is very high.
around 1000 to 1200 RPM, just an estimate in the dashboard
reading. the same idle speed everyday for 1st engine startup.
even if I'll let the engine run for 10 or more minutes.

But after driving for few miles, and let it run idle, seems
back to normal?

So my question is this normal idle speed(1000-1200 RPM)?
or the idle speed needs adjustment? And if high idle is
not normail? should be sign of an impending problem?

Anyone have this issue? Any suggestion to check?

Check out the link in my signature line below on info on our 2001s.

Is this something new? This situation does sound normal on a cold startup. Mine does the same FWIW. As long as the idle RPMs stay at +/- 700 and is not erratic - then you don't have a problem IMO.

Is it staying higher longer than normal ? Colder weather will cause the warmup to take longer. If it still seems too long take note of the water temp, could be the thermostat isn't quite right and leaving the flow open when it should be backing off to keep a higher temp. The longer it takes to warm, the longer it will idle higher.

Both of our cr-vs idle at 1500rpm at a cold start up, and our 11 ody idles at 1100rpm. I'm pretty sure that's normal.
