Bluetooth issue
I have a 2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L RES (Black with Truffle interior). My bluetooth started doing the disconnect and re-connect in June of this year. I purchased the van in March of this year. I deleted the phone and re installed it via the bluetooth. I also have issues with it not recognizing the phone. My cell phone is a Droid X, and my carrier is Verizon. I wen to Verizon about the issue and they informed me that they don't quarantee and phone will work with your car's bluetooth device because software is always changing and updating. So they basically left me on my own.
I have had many isses with my van since buying it. My back bumper keeps bowing up in the center so I am now going to have to hav ethe dealer order, paint and then install the new one.
My xm radio reciever was also defective when I bought it. The xm would work and them stop working and give me no information on the screen or it would give me many letters and characters displayed on the screen. I had to hound the dealership, because XM said they couldn't fix the problem because it was hardware related. The dealership called in a specialist to come address the issue and my whole dash and one side of my trunk had to be taken apart to fix the issue. I had to have a new xm reciever and radio unit.
One of the plastic side pieces on the 3rd row came discolored and I had to have it replaced.
The seats are leather, and the driver seat is dry even with conditioning and tinting the front windows (like the rest of the windows that were already tinted). The driver seat is become really worn looking and doesn't look like it belongs in my van. I am only a 138 lbs, plus I detail my van weekly. It's on the bottom part of the drivers seat that is doing this.
The front passenger pillar airbag emblem clip is broken so had to order another one.
The 2nd row drivers side sund shade (made into the door) one side of the plastic part that attaches to the clips on the top of the windo broke, plus the opposite clip isn't installed correctly and wiggles when touched. Both items are being replaced.
Also when listening to my ipod (pluged in the glove box usb port) the menu will freeze and so will the ipod and it won't play again unless I unplug the ipod and plug it back in.
I find the interior isn't made as durable as my 2005 Honda Odyssey.
I DO LOVE my van. I really am thinking I got a bad one. I love my MPG. I drove from central Texas to GA and I averaged 31 MPG. I drove on 1 and a half tanks of gas. I got just a hair over 600 miles on the first tank! I still love many features about the van. I just wish there were not so many little issues. Makes me worry about the mechanical part.
Anyone else having any of these issues?
Also I havev found that when using the bluetooth in the van, that when someone calls me the person on the other end has a hard time hearing me and understanding me. I have to talk pretty loud and have my volume up very loud. Is anyone else experiencing this? I also find the small rearview mirror to view your passengers seems to be too close to me. In my old van I could see the whole back 2 rows no problem. I think on the new model because of the windsheild being so much higher they put the mirror there not realizing this. I I am 5'7" and find it hard to get a good angle to see all of my passengers.
