My 2011 has had a rattle from the passenger side front suspension for about 2 years, any bump makes a sound like keys clanging together. I've checked multiple times for loose parts and a mechanic looked too. I decided to try Service Bulletin 11-038 (linked below). Tightening the damper self-locking nuts solved the problem! The nut on the passenger side was real loose. I backed both nuts off a little, added locktite (not in the service bulletin) and re-torqued to spec. The picture in the SB isn't very clear, you need to hold the damper shaft from turning with a 7mm allen key while you torque the nut with a torque wrench connected to a 17mm crowfoot wrench. The whole process took about 30 minutes.
I didn't grease the top of the damper body as described in the SB, my vehicle didn't have those symptoms.
