A lady hit the drivers side of my Oddy today. It doesn't look really bad but it is hit. No one was hurt which I am very happy about. I'm still not happy that my van was hit. Some lady driving an old stinkin Mercedes not lookin where she was goin just drives into the side of my van. I know I'm new here but I just had to get this little rant out.

Don't feel that bad, our Ody hit another van on the highway, the thing is that there was a grass fire right on the side of the road and we weren't that smart and drove right into the smoke. There was absoutely no visibility, it was like driving with blindfolds on. The good news is that our family was not hurt. Only the side of the passenger front bodywork was damage, the front mirror was shattered, and most likely the body panel above the wheel will be replace since it was pushed in. The front door was scratched quite good, but I think the shop could paint that up.

Sorry if it was a bit long but I just wanted to let you know that you're not the unluckiest person on this board.

Sorry to hear about your ody. I know how you feel...really I do. If you haven't already picked a body shop yet, ask your Honda dealer who they use or recommend, if they don't actually do body work there themselves. Hold out for the best, no matter how long it takes (this is experience talking) you'll be glad you did. It may not seem like a big job, but if it's not done right it will evolve into a big problem. If you want to know how I know, and want to feel instantly better about your situation too, check out the new members topic under the general forum, page 5, msgs 14 & 16 down. Glad no one was hurt. Good luck with your repair.

Thanks 3odys4me, fortunately insurance is going to pay for the repair. The quote we got after inspection was $2,692 cdn worth of repair, and yes we know a body shop that is very professional when we took our civic to have a new bumper install after someone bumped into it.

Thanks to you all!! I feel better about it today. I got a recommendation for Scott Robinson Honda's repair facility and got a look at work done about a year or so by them. I was challenged to find the area on the car that had prior damage. Even after having it narrowed down to a quarter of the car, I could not tell there had been repair work done and would not have had I not seen the before pictures. I don't think I will need a second choice. I do a little detail work in my spare time and have a pretty good eye for stuff like this as it can be a detailers nightmare. I'm very impressed with the quality of the work. Thanks again y'all!
