Gentlemen,
I recently picked up a quite nice 2000 Odyssey while working in Oklahoma. Drove it home, perfect. I changed the oil right away, and found some aluminum shavings within the threads of the oil plug. I suspected these were from the crush washer (the original was quite tight and had to be removed with help of pliers) but I wondered whether the shavings could be from the threaded drain hole...Has anyone had problems with the threads on the oil pan itself? Are they prone to stripping? It was a rather scary find...

thanks
