Does anyone know of an online car sales site that actually gives you the selling price online? CarsDirect.com does this but their line up is out of date (they are still quoting 2001 models and no 2002s). Their prices are right there, on the screen, with a picture of the car you are looking for (just like buying shoes, books, etc. online). All the other online sites requests for you to register, then they either E-mail you or call.

odyman, I think you'll be happier just calling dealers and getting the quote from them. I wouldn't trust what I see on a website as 95% of them are not directly tied to inventory in real-time and like you said, this site was still quoting you 2001 vehicles which I seriously doubt they have any of. On top of that, its very impersonal and you run the risk of the site backing out of the deal because of some (*) somewhere or otherwise not being someone you want to deal with.

Nothing beats a 5 minute phone-call with a salesman. I can tell right away from that phone call if I plan to do business with that person; you can't get this off an online site.

Thanks for the advice. It's just that I hate dealing with salespeople. I actually had one laugh at me over the phone when I asked if the +$1000 over MSRP included extras like splashguards or magic seat well protectors. I told them to stick their van ..... well, you know. Anyway, I guess I'll try again.
