I would like request any information to resolve the issue on Honda Ody 2012, EX-L. The Van was good until last year with 80K miles. Suddenly we noticed the spark plugs fouling and CEL and came to know about Honda Suite and Honda did not honer the special request as the extended warranty was passed thought it is low milage. We end up with S-VCM controller, new spark plugs and solvents.
The solution seems very economical and easy fix. But later what we noticed is the engine becomes extreme heat and plenty of oil leakages under valve covers and under Engine filter Housing. Is this known issue after VCM muzzling? And it is my second oil change after the van was muzzled and the drained oil is like black tar. Any advise in this regad is highly appreciated. Recently, I have replaced the water pump ( the whole AISIN timing belt kit) but seems the issue became worst with excessive exhaust smoke and also burning smell from engine bay.
Any advise to address this issue is highly appreciated.
