I've always known quite a bit about cars, but paint has never been my forte! So, I have a question for you guys. I was traveling behind a truck on the interstate, and a rock flew out and gashed the metal trim just behind my bumper (picture attached). I have touch up paint, but I'm reluctant to use it as it is often sloppy looking. Do you guys have any tips to cover this up? I'd really appreciate it.

I really apologize for the double post. I had some trouble with the attachments. Also, I would have put this in the detailing form, but it gets relatively low traffic.

The brush in the touch up paint is too large. Get a very fine brush from a hobby store and add a little paint at a time until the hole is filled. Let it dry or almost dry between fillings. The trick is to keep the paint inside the chipped area and slowly fill it in.
